BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Kanita Brown

Kanita Brown is Managing Partner at KH Brown Solutions LLC, providing contingent workforce advisory services. She leverages her years of buy-side experience to present meaningful solutions to clients by leading enterprises and providers through the process of implementing, managing and optimizing their Contingent Workforce programs.

Throughout the course of her career, Kanita has strategically managed $1B+ spend in large organizations. She has served as the lead for high performing programs across industries, including Consumer Products and Oil & Gas.

 

Ray Culver

Ray Culver is a staffing industry veteran and CCWP with 30 years of experience in sales, sales strategy and sales leadership.

He helps staffing firms and HR tech platforms
develop go-to-market sales strategies, for both pre- and post-revenue stage
organizations, both in the US and Europe.

Prior to launching his consulting and advisory firm, CWsolutions Group, Culver held
leadership roles with Scout Exchange, Randstad NA and ManpowerGroup NA, where he was instrumental in creating, and leading, national and global MSP Sales Channels.

Cara Kresge

With over two decades of dedicated experience in workforce management and consulting, Cara Kresge had the honor of collaborating with clients across a multitude of industries and geographical locations.

Cara's journey spans from serving as a trusted workforce planning business partner at Google, to spearheading the establishment of a service excellence team at a prominent Managed Service Provider (MSP), to contributing expertise in implementation and solution design within Vendor Management Systems (VMS).

Her expertise lies in a spectrum of areas including enterprise cost management, holistic workforce transformation, strategic supply chain sourcing, workforce planning, and adept MSP and VMS solution design.

Additionally, she specializes in driving organizational transformations and adeptly managing stakeholders to ensure alignment and success.

 

Bryan Peña

Bryan is a globally recognized thought leader in the world of extended work and open talent. With a unique perspective on the ever-growing demand for comprehensive workforce solutions, he is a widely sought-after keynote speaker, a passionate evangelist for the open talent industry, and a highly sought out expert on emerging talent platforms, workforce management programs, labor models, HR technology, variable and future workforce trends.

Bryan may best be known for his time as senior vice president of contingent workforce strategies at Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA). During his more than ten years with SIA, Bryan and his team crafted the revolutionary Certified Contingent Workforce Professional (CCWP) program. He also led SIA’s enterprise research schedule and advisory practice to Global 500 companies.

Bryan has extensive hands-on experience as a contingent workforce practitioner, having served as a program practitioner with program leadership roles at Avery Dennison and Vivendi Universal Entertainment (now NBC Universal) North America.

John Healy

CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD

Having spent more than thirty years developing and deploying workforce solutions in labour markets throughout the world, John is a recognized thought leader and practitioner in the evolving world of work.  

As a champion for responsible behavior and cross-industry collaboration in the evolving world of work, he established the taskforce on digitalization at the World Employment Confederation.

After a distinguished career in the staffing industry, John made a purpose driven shift from a traditional employment model to one that prioritizes managing a portfolio of responsibilities.

John is a life-long learner, with passion in areas ranging from workforce ecosystems, open innovation, consumer behaviors, people analytics, and the role of education in achieving human agility.

 

CO-FOUNDERS

JEFF NUGENT

With years of expertise, Jeff Nugent is a distinguished figure in the contingent workforce sector. He serves as a National Board Member and Chair of the Education & Accreditation Committee for the Canadian Staffing Association (ACSESS). 

As a serial entrepreneur, Jeff has recently co-founded Independently.ai, a Compliance-as-a-Service technology company that offers agnostic third-party assessments of Independent Contractors. Additionally, he co-established Consciously Unbiased Payroll, aiding firms in tapping into diverse talent. 

Prior to a successful exit, Jeff was one of the original founders of People 2.0, the world’s largest global Employer of Record. In co-founding CWI, Jeff’s role focuses on providing visionary leadership and structure to the Institute while also leveraging his vast industry network, to bring opportunities for enterprise and vendor clients to team up with the Institute and its independent consulting members.

MICHELLE COX

Michelle Cox has been coaching for a decade, holds a Professional Coaching Certification (PCC) with the International Coaching Federation, and provides coaching to corporate executives and entrepreneurs in the United States and abroad.

With over two decades of experience leading and building teams, Michelle spearheaded innovative thought leadership and drove strategic initiatives across organizations. Notably, she has led a Contingent Workforce program, has been featured as a keynote speaker at industry events, and has coached executives from the Contingent Workforce community, demonstrating her comprehensive understanding and expertise in this specialized area.
